In Cherkasy region implement the EU project "Establishment of regional educational-practical Center of development of multifunctional cooperatives". The project began in January 2015 and will last 30 months. It is financed in the framework of grant of the EU program "Support regional development policy in Ukraine" and the regional Council the program will support the development of agricultural service co-operatives in Cherkasy region until 2020

The total cost of the project exceeds €617 thousand EU Contribution – 79,97% the total cost of the Cherkasy regional Council – about 20%, more €123 thousand In the past year from the regional budget has allocated 1.5 million UAH.

"This year, the project created 27 agricultural service cooperatives, in particular 7 cooperatives with drying fruit, 3 – on the cultivation of berries, 17 – rabbit breeding. Now cooperatives passed 20 dryers in the amount of 318 thousand UAH, 90 mini-farms for the total amount UAH 1.3 million and it is planned to send 6 thousand seedlings of fruit crops on 47.7 thousand UAH. In addition, according to the current draft European Union in August-September this year, selected 24 of the initiative group for the creation of cooperatives. They are now at the stage of registration," said Igor Block, head Department of agroindustrial development Regional state administration Igor Pad.

Already established cooperatives unite almost 1.8 thousand members, which provides more than 200 residents of the village with jobs. In the first half they provided services to 11.3 million UAH.
